Purpose: To be an information and
networking resource for those committed to developing and maintaining
sustainable communities.
Definition: Sustainable communities are mutually
supportive systems which can endure for millennia. They must take into
account ecological, political, social, spiritual and all other systems.
Sustainability: This section of the
site is devoted to papers and articles concerning various aspects of
sustainability. This is background information for those seeking information or doing research.
Peer reviewed papers with bibliographies are prefered. Please submit
papers to: paul@sustainabilitynetworker.org
Networker: These pages list
communities which have applied for inclusion and provide information
from their application form. Any one community may fall under more than
one type and when they do so we will attempt to cross reference them.
Communities are listed for one or more of the following reasons: They
want to be a resource for other communities, they would like to grow, or
they have grown to their limits and want to support a beginning community.
The application form link is in the lower right hand corner of that section.
Links: These pages attempt to narrow your search for additional information or inspiration
more quickly. Websites are listed by function, region, - with a brief summary of the type of information
included on the site.
